    Description

    YELLOW SPRINGS INSTRUMENT Tele-Thermometer Model 43TA w/probe (parts or repair)
    This is a thermometer designed for medical applications.
    Degrees F and C available on scale
    Range: 68 to 107 degrees F
    S/N:  17209
    Uses one "D" cell as power (not included).
    Probe plugs in to a (telephone type) jack.
    Meter glass is missing.
    Probe has "410" marked on it (see photo 4).
    Partly tested (with a borrowed "D" cell) as follows:
    1. Meter indicator rests at full scale right when off (as it should), see photo 1.
    2. Power switch works.
    3. Meter indicator can be adjusted to "Red Line" when "ON" with probe disconnected. (see photo 2)
    4. When probe is plugged in, meter indicator goes off scale left.  Probe may be bad? Calibration has            been adjusted?
