  • Material: Plastic
  • Custom Bundle: No
  • Theme: Space
  • Condition: This is a very good to like new condition, small scale model of the Viking spacecraft, a mission to Mars that took place in the mid 1970's. Part of the Nasa Space Explorers series, this is not easy to find. It's made of hard plastic, and it's 2 and 1/2 inches across when you measure the solar panels, and looks just like the real thing. This is how the spacecraft would have looked like as it was approaching Mars, with the Viking Orbiter body and panels, holding onto the enclosed Viking Lander, which was contained in the bubble shaped portion. Viking 1 (1975) and Viking 2 (1976) both successfully carried out their missions of photographing, mapping and studying Mars and its moons. This rare mini model is in very good to like new condition, with some previous storage wear only, but not much, and no play wear at all. I have a few of these in my collection, and you can get one or more!
