Marathon de la Route (84 hours of Nurburgring) 1967
After 84 grueling hours on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Vic Elford brought this blood orange 911R to victory in the aptly named Marathon de la Route race of 1967.
Together with his co-drivers, Jochen Neerpasch and Hans Herrmann, Vic Elford flogged the sportomatic equipped 911R for three and a half days around the Nordschleife track.
Since Vic was used to drive long nights in rallyes, he drove every night while Jochen Neerpasch and Hans Herrmann shared the car during the days!

Vic excelled in
International rallies
being the last British driver to win the
Monte Carlo rally in 1968.
He was also the 1967 British Touring car Champion and also won the European Rally Championship (Porsche 911).
He
then turned to Sports cars racing and F1 racing.
